Paid Links Are a No No!

Wednesday, November 26th, 2014

Paid links are not a good thing for your Search Engine Optimization. If you see guaranteed links in a proposal for an SEO project you may want to find out how they are acquired. Exchanging money for links is an absolute no-go in Google’s eyes.

These kinds of shady tactics provide huge rewards for the sites that get away with it, but it comes at the expense of everyone who plays by the rules. Selling links that pass PageRank violates Google’s quality guidelines.

Please be wary if someone approaches you and wants to pay you for links or “advertorial” pages on your site that pass PageRank,

says Google in their Quality Guidelines content. If you are caught selling links, it is guaranteed that there will be lower rankings for that site in Google’s search results. In extreme cases, Google will remove you from Google’s search results.

Be wary of what Digital Online Marketing companies are promising in their proposals. We at ROI Media Works only work within the guidelines of Google. We don’t make promises we can’t keep. See what we can offer your business by calling us at 778-471-5953.
