Get More Out of a Keyword

So you had had your pay-per-click campaign running for a while. You have noticed that a couple of keywords are doing, but you feel like they could do better. There are a few ways you can get more traffic from this keyword. 

See if your ad copy could be changed to get more traffic. On top of that with an increased click-through rate you will get a better quality score. This means that the cost of each of your new clicks will be cheaper.

Make sure that your landing page is fully optimized. Ensure that people can easily navigate your page and get what they are looking for. If your landing page is optimized you will get more conversions and leads.

You can also play around with your Google AdWords campaigns. Say you have a Search keyword that is doing really well. Have you thought about transferring that keyword to a Display campaign?

Also it is worth a shot to bid more aggressively on return visitors. This allows you to do is set a unique bid for the folks who have visited your site before when your ad shows for a specific term.

You can create a new, mirror campaign and ad group targeting just the people who have visited your site and are searching for your target term. You may be able to get them to convert if you change your strategy based on the visitor’s history with your site.
