Google Instant – Faster searches, instant smarter predictions

Google recently released a new feature called “Google Instant”. Google always experiments with new ideas to deliver better user experience and faster results. If you have ever thought Google is taking long to find the information you are researching, Google instant is a solution for you. The search engine results will show as you type in your search phrase. Google also suggests some educated recommendations on the key phrases.

The instant results doesn’t mean any changes to how we do SEO and doesn’t change any search engine rankings. Most importantly long tail keyword searches may be affected as most of the key phrases Google instant suggests are up to a four word maximum. Now, SEO has to give more importance to head keywords and in turn, this increases the buzz around a brand using social media. Additionally, this helps Google get your brand noticed and eventually shows in the Google suggested search phrases. This process has to happen naturally.

For some of our clients the traffic from the branded terms increased and we believe it coincides with the Google instant update.
