Introducing ROI QR Scanner

We recently released our new app on the Android Market and the iOS App Store; it’s called ROI QR Scanner. ROI QR Scanner is a QR and Barcode scanning application with social sharing and online presence – packaged all together. Scanned codes go into your history, which can be shared to Facebook, Twitter, SMS, or Email. ROI QR Scanner supports various types of QR Code, and will integrate the data natively to a phone. For example, if someone scans a QR Code that contains vCard information, ROI QR Scanner will display a contact card and either add it to contacts, or merge with an existing contact. ROI QR Scanner supports:

• MeCard
• Emails
• SMS
• Map Locations
• Text
• Calendar Events
• Web URLs

WiFi QR Code support is also available in the Android version only. In contrast, the iOS version includes support for scanning books and other products via the barcode, and will try to find the product on Amazon (This will be available in the Android version in the future).

Coming soon in version 1.5: if you enable Save to Web in the application settings, ROI QR Scanner will automatically create an account online, which can then be used to view all the history from any computer in the world. Logging in is done by scanning the login QR Code on the login page.
