Microsoft’s new Display Dock transforms your Windows 10 mobile into a PC

As part of its reveal of the new Lumia 950 and Lumia 950 XL, Microsoft has announced the Display Dock, a hardware adapter that lets you use your phone like a desktop Windows PC with keyboard, mice, and a large display.

Keep in mind that this isn’t a full PC experience, but part of one. It does run universal Windows 10 apps, has a task bar that is slightly tweaked and there is a signal bar at the top along with battery and time information.

The dock provides you with three USB ports, as well as HDMI and DisplayPort connections. With this, you use your phone to power a monitor that serves as a second screen, or attach a keyboard and mouse and use it like a PC.
