What social media marketers can learn from Kevin Durant

What social media marketers can learn from Kevin Durant

Kevin Durant was in the news this week. It would be more appropriate to say, perhaps, that the basketball star was in hot water this week. Even more unfortunate for Durant is that the NBA season ended three months ago, meaning it was an off-court issue that brought his name to light. Social media marketers should learn from his mistake. The Gutenberg visual editor: an update

The Gutenberg visual editor: an update

So, we wrote of the “next big thing” in webpage development, the Gutenberg visual editor, a couple weeks ago. We’re pretty excited about this WordPress-led project that will greatly increase the capabilities of WordPress’s backend. We were so excited, in fact, we forgot to talk to each other (literally). How important is keyword density in SEO?

How important is keyword density in SEO?

Perhaps there is no better way to describe keyword density in SEO than this story: You’re sitting at your computer with the browser open thinking of your next move when navigating the internet. Your brain triggers an urge that mobilizes your next action and it’s to search for something online. So, you naturally type in these letters: G-O-O-G-L-E. You don’t have to be a MythBuster to map your business’ digital marketing strategy

It seems these days that the marketing-inclined are hit with a barrage of myths. There have been at least three posts recently, all tackling different myths: Forbes ran an article with a list surrounding paid advertising software like Google AdWords, Entrepreneur sought to understand the mystification of email marketing and MediaPost focused on location-centred marketing. What’s new in the Google AdWords Report Editor

What’s new in the Google AdWords Report Editor

If digital marketing were a tool box, it could be seen that Google AdWords is the box itself. With this in mind, Google AdWords Report Editor represents the hinges and drawers separating each vital but specific tool. One is able to look into the box and see what tool should be used, what tool should be replaced or what tool has rusted out and is destined for the trash can. Continue reading »
Don’t have a Secure Sockets Layer? It could impact your search engine optimization.

Don’t have a Secure Sockets Layer? It could impact your search engine optimization.

Google is going to start warning searchers of the impending doom of pages that do not have a Secure Sockets Layer. WordPress Tavern reports that come October 2017, pages of this nature could garner a “NOT SECURE” message if they have forms that require credit card information, passwords or the like. These messages will be presented to users of Google Chrome and could impact search engine optimization. This news has got us feeling pretty nostalgic. Continue reading »
