Personal Referrals Play A Large Roll in SEO
We recently read a new article by Clutch that revealed new data which shows referrals are leading driver of hiring decisions for search engine optimization (SEO) companies.
Nearly half (45%) of businesses hire SEO service providers based on a referral or existing personal relationship. – Clutch
For some people this may seem surprises as most people do research online to determine who they may use to help their business or organization. It seems like an impersonal process where potential clients utilize things reviews and provided case studies all of which can be found online via the agency’s website (hopefully).
So it is important to remember to network! Get to know people on a personal basis, distinguish yourself as an expert in your field and then pitch to them. Also, just do you job well. The better the services and products you provide, the better chance a client will refer someone to you.
This isn’t rocket science but it something that is crucial to your business. Build relationships!
